Maizee

Female, 3 years, 65 lbs. In foster care.

Available
$500
Adoption fee

Maizee is a sweet and joyful, three year-old girl. She loves tennis balls, cuddles, and children! She knows how to have fun and loves to fetch a ball and bring it back. She also relishes a chance to lay right next to you on the couch or floor. In fact, she has a very adorable habit of turning over on her back anytime a human walks by her. She's always hoping we notice her and give her a belly rub (we do, how could you not?!)

She lives for a chance to sniff out the neighborhood and looks forward to her daily walks. On walks, she is very interested in squirrels, rabbits, and birds, and even wearing a gentle leader, has enough strength to knock you off your game if you are not paying attention!

She is great with other dogs, but has not yet experienced a cat.

Apply to adopt MaizeeRead requirements before you applyAdoption FAQApplying for Maizee does not guarantee placement. We match on fit.

Interested? Here is what happens next.

  1. Submit an ApplicationComplete our adoption application after reviewing the Adoption Requirements and FAQs. Please answer every question completely, as incomplete applications cannot be processed. You're welcome to indicate interest in a specific dog, but because our commitment is to the right match, requesting a particular dog does not guarantee placement.
  2. Phone Interview & Home VisitAfter your application is reviewed, a GRFR volunteer will contact you if you meet our adoption requirements. A phone interview to learn more about your family, home, lifestyle, and expectations, then a home visit to ensure your home is a safe environment for a dog. ALL household members and resident dogs/pets MUST be present during the home visit.
  3. Meet Your MatchWhen one of our foster volunteers believes a dog may be a good fit for your family, they'll contact you to arrange a meet-and-greet. If you receive a voicemail or text message from a foster, you must respond within 24 hours. If you do not respond the foster home will move on to the next approved applicant.
