Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. With no paid staff and no physical shelter, we keep our overhead low so that nearly every dollar you donate goes directly toward rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need.

Veterinary Care
Many dogs come to us with medical needs due to illness, injury, neglect, or lack of routine care. Your donation helps provide everything from wellness exams and vaccinations to emergency surgeries, dental care, and lifesaving treatments.
Transportation
Our volunteer transportation team travels thousands of miles each year to rescue dogs from shelters, owner surrenders, and commercial breeding situations, bringing them safely to foster homes and veterinary appointments.
Spay & Neuter
Your support helps ensure every dog is spayed or neutered before adoption (or as soon as medically appropriate), reducing pet overpopulation and improving long-term health.
Food & Supplies
Donations provide nutritious food, heartworm and flea preventatives, medications, crates, leashes, toys, bedding, and other essentials that help our foster dogs thrive while they wait for their forever families.
Microchipping
Every dog adopted through GRFR is microchipped, providing a permanent form of identification and increasing the chances of being reunited with their family if they are ever lost.
