Meet Brady! As a youthful 8 year- old, this handsome guy is as gentle and delightful as they come. A true "best friend," Brady adores his foster parents and gets along wonderfully with resident dogs. He is a true golden ready to greet you at the dog with the biggest tail wag!

This happy-go-lucky, eager-to-please guy is such a delight in the home and comes with an amazing list of qualities: Fully house-trained and completely free of destructive behaviors. He has even mastered the doggie door! Super travel companion who rides wonderfully in the car and loves to feel the breeze on his face. Ultimate snuggle bug who loves a good scratch behind the ears and loves a couch potato moment. Overall good mannered demonstrating no jumping, no counter surfing, gentle with taking treats, and walks well on the leash. While he has not been able to take long walks at this time, he shows such a love for wanting to join his resident dogs for walks. While Brady is a dream in almost every setting, he does have a natural curiosity for chasing bunnies, and we are currently unsure how he would do living with cats.

Brady had a few obstacles to overcome when he first arrived, and he is tackling them head on being the best patient ever. While he has a few shaved areas to treat some hot spots, Brady did great letting his foster parents treat them and become all healed up! Brady also bounced back with ease from a toe amputation and is now fully recovered. This minor bump in the road won't impact his active lifestyle in any way!

Another obstacle Brady faces – a torn CCL. We welcomed Brady to our rescue knowing he had a torn CCL and will need TPLO surgery to get him back to living his best, pain-free life. GRFR will cover the full cost of the surgery, but he will need a special adopter who is committed to getting him through the process, supporting him through rehabilitation and recovery, and cheering him on as he heals. Rehabilitation for TPLO surgery is typically around 3 months.

Brady is so resilient and ready to tackle this and needs a special family to support him through it to fully recover. Patience, commitment, and the biggest heart is what Brady is looking for, and he’ll pay you back ten-fold with unconditional love, loyalty, and being your best friend in the world!

Interested? Here is what happens next.

  1. Submit an ApplicationComplete our adoption application after reviewing the Adoption Requirements and FAQs. Please answer every question completely, as incomplete applications cannot be processed. You're welcome to indicate interest in a specific dog, but because our commitment is to the right match, requesting a particular dog does not guarantee placement.
  2. Phone Interview & Home VisitAfter your application is reviewed, a GRFR volunteer will contact you if you meet our adoption requirements. A phone interview to learn more about your family, home, lifestyle, and expectations, then a home visit to ensure your home is a safe environment for a dog. ALL household members and resident dogs/pets MUST be present during the home visit.
  3. Meet Your MatchWhen one of our foster volunteers believes a dog may be a good fit for your family, they'll contact you to arrange a meet-and-greet. If you receive a voicemail or text message from a foster, you must respond within 24 hours. If you do not respond the foster home will move on to the next approved applicant.
